A New Start (2016)

Welcome to a new year of the Wii Volt Unlimited Blog. I am going to do a quick recap for those new to this blog. The blog came out of the fact that Nintendo and Youtube were flagging accounts with Nintendo game footage. Being a huge Nintendo fan since a kid I was producing a show on you tube called the Wii Volt that covered Wii games.

I was getting ready to transition to Wii U games and re-branded the show as Wii Volt Unlimited.  Like many other gamers my channel was flagged and in frustration with Youtube and Nintendo I took my Youtube videos and site down.

It was at that time that I decided to do a gaming blog with the same branding to talk about Wii U games  and all the systems that came before it.  Life got hectic after that and I took a huge break from posting. Coming into 2016 I still am passionate about games and still have things I want to say about the industry as a whole.

This year I am shifting gears and taking my brand, voice and game review to Twitch TV and the App Periscope. The plan this year is to keep this blog going and covering news worthy events in gaming to a news show that I want to stream on twitch Live if possible. I want to use periscope to do special videos that don’t fall into the Twitch realm of conversation.

February through May I plan on doing special videos before launching Wii Volt unlimited News in June in time for E3 and the Nintendo NX reveal. I will be using this blog to review upcoming Wii U and Nintendo 3DS games along with any major news.

The Current Schedule for February (Subject to change) looks like this:

Wii Volt Unlimited Blog:
February 13th – My top 25 NES Classics List
February 20th – My top 25 SNES Classics List
February 27th – My top 25 N64 Classics List

TWITCH VIDEOS
TBD – My Nintendo Account/Miitomo Registration walkthrough video
February 23rd or later – Mega Man Anniversary Collection (3DS) Special Edition Unboxing/Amiibo Showcase
 * I will announce when and where you will be able to see the videos once posted.

While not as impressive as the Wii or even SNES catalogues the Wii U has some interesting games for the platform.  Though the number is nowhere near my Wii collection of games the Wii U every now and then manages to surprise me with a title I wasn’t expecting.
